I'm sleeping and right in the middle of a good dream Like all at once I wake up From something that keeps knocking at my brain Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head And spring up in my bed Screaming out the words I dread: "I think I love you!" This morning, I woke up with this feeling I didn't know how to deal with And so I just decided to myself I'd hide it to myself And never talk about it And didn't I go and shout it When you walked into my room "I think I love you!" I think I love you So what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of A love there is no cure for I think I love you Isn't that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say That I've never felt this way (Instrumental break) (Artificial high-pitched female background vocal solo ad-lib) (I don't know what I'm up against I don't know what I'm sorry about I've got so much to think about) Hey, I think I love you So what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of A love there is no cure for I think I love you Isn't that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say I've never felt this way Believe me, you really don't have to worry I only want to make you happy And if you say, hey, go away, I will But I think better still I'd rather stay around and love you Do you think I have a case? Let me ask you to your face: Do you think you love me? I think I love you! I think I love you! (I think I love you! ) I think I love you! (repeat and fade)

Got on a silver plane and flew away Chased all my rainbows to the end I wish I knew then what I know today I'm on my way back home again Love, that's what's waiting for me That's where I've got to be Just to look in your eyes, feel your lips touching mine Chorus: I'm on my way back home Gonna fly I'm on my way back home Gonna fly I'm on my way, I'm on my way back home to you I went to look for Mister Happiness Only to find he wasn't in Wouldn't you know I had the wrong address I'm on my way back home again Love, that's what's waiting for me That's where I've got to be Just to look in your eyes, feel your lips touching mine Repeat Chorus I remember when you told me I'd return You knew even then something I had to learn It's so far and yet it's right there where you live It's something that you get only when you give And it's love, that's what's waiting for me That's where I've got to be Just to look in your eyes, feel your lips touching mine Repeat Chorus and fade

Window walking downtown, feeling mighty good And I noticed from the corner how all alone he stood Underneath the lamplight, an angel in disguise Lonely little runaway with teardrops in his eyes Crazy little rag doll, his hair was wild and tossed And I put my arm around him Because I knew that he was lost He didn't seem to notice that anyone was near Till suddenly he turned to me and whispered in my ear Chorus: Point me in the direction of Albuquerque I want to go home And help me get home Point me in the direction of Albuquerque I need to get home, need to get home Showed me a ticket for a Greyhound bus His head was lost in time He didn't know who or where he was And anyone that helps me is a real good friend of mine Point me in the direction of Albuquerque And help me get home, help me get home I walked him to the station and kissed away the tears Knowing I'd remember through all the coming years Rag doll on that Greyhound who waved with all his might Weeped against the window as the bus rolled out of sight Repeat Chorus

Last Night 02:52
Last night I couldn't fall asleep Because I wanted to keep on thinking of you Last night I was flying high I was happy, I was happy Well, last night you told me something that I I won't forget if I should live forever Last night you said you loved me and it It gave me fever and I thought it over Baby... My baby... Chorus: When you are there I'm aware that I must be dreaming When you are near I can hear my body screaming Never let me go, honey, never let me go, baby Never let me go, never ever ever let me go Last night I couldn't fall asleep Because I wanted to keep on thinking of you Last night I was flying high I was happy, I was happy Last night you told me something that I I won't forget if I should live forever Last night you said you loved me and it It gave me fever and I thought it over Baby... My baby... Repeat Chorus and fade

about

Background vocalist Laurie Maitland said, "When I heard Shirley Jones and Jackie Ward sing bland and amateurish like kids in the background without hitting all those high notes behind the professional lead voice of David Cassidy, I said 'What's the matter with you ladies? You cannot reach all of those artificial high falsetto notes? You cannot sing an octave higher than a man's tenor? You can't sing artificial high soprano falsetto like Minnie Riperton, Phoebe Snow or Deniece Williams? You can't sing like Leontyne Price or Beverly Sills? You can't take a turn of ad-libbing the background vocal solo in your artificial high register in the range of artificial high soprano falsetto in an R&B/soul style like Aretha Franklin or Thelma Houston? What's wrong with both of you? You cannot sing that high? That's why your voices aren't operatic enough. You sing too low in the background. You ladies sound tired, sleepy, shy and weak with no strength and power nor soul. I am way better than them who were like amateurs that didn't sing like pros.'"
